You will need to bring a water bottle every day. We also welcome children to bring in a piece of fruit to have during fruit break (around 10am each day)This is to be brought into the classroom so should be separate from lunch boxes to avoid going backwards and forwards to the cloakroom.
There will be staff on the KS2 yard from 8:25. Children can be left on the playground from this time and will be collected by their class teachers at 8:30. Children will be dismissed from their classrooms at 3:35.
Our P.E day will be: Friday, please make sure you have full PE kit, which consists of: black shorts, white t-shirt, trainers or pumps and jogging/tracksuit bottoms if the weather requires it, along with a water bottle. Children should come to school in appropriate PE kit on PE days.
Reading is a major focus across all age groups within school. Please encourage your child to bring their reading book to school every day as opportunities may arise for your child to read to an adult. The online reading records will be checked by teachers every Friday. Children that read at home at least 3 times per week, shall receive extra play and those children that read 5 times or more are entered into a draw to win a book from the Vending Machine. Please read at home as often as possible. It’s also lovely to read/share books with your children – log any reading on your app!
We have recently relaunched our TT Rockstars app. This is a great way to encourage children to build fluency in their times tables and related division facts. We have a timetabled slot in school each week for children to access the programme. You have received log in details to access the programme at home to reinforce this learning.
If you have any questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. Keep a regular eye on Class Dojos for any news/messages from Mr Brian or the Year 3 team.
Thank you for your continued support.
