Wolves - Year 5 - Miss Farmer

Welcome to Year 5!

Welcome to the Y5 class - we are looking forward to an exciting year full of learning! Take a look at our long term overview which sets out our topics for the year and a more detailed short term plan for the current half term.

Parents can help their children to learn by making sure they are ready for the school day; they will need a bottle of water to keep them hydrated and a fruit snack for morning break to keep up their energy levels. It is also vital that parents listen to their children read - ideally every day, but at least three times a week with a comment in their reading records. The key stage two curriculum is so full that it is very difficult for a teacher to hear a full class of children read individually each week.

PE will be on a Friday. This half term will be gymnastics so could you please make sure children bring indoor kit?

Homework goes out on a Friday and is due back by the following Friday at the latest. Children are always encouraged to be independent learners and any additional work done outside school hours will be welcomed and celebrated.
