What we have learned…

As I explained in assembly today, it is important to come to school every day because we learn something new every time we spend a day in school. Even if you miss one day, you are likely to miss out on something that is important: often that can be ‘caught-up’  but sometimes it can’t and then you have gaps in your knowledge

I walked into The Y3 class today and they were having a talk about Jerusalem from a parent who had been there when she was at school; the class learned lots of things for their study on Judaism, and I learned that a place called The Mount of Olives (where Jesus spent a lot of time) is now used as a cemetery… so even old teachers like me can learn something new in school!

Tell us something that you have learned recently…

New Year Resolution 2017…

It is that time of year when people start to think about what they could do to make their lives better by resolving to take up a challenge or to give something up in order to have a healthier lifestyle.  These New Year Resolutions have been around for thousands of years; for some reason, the beginning of a new year seems like a good time to make a change…

I have resolved to read a poem every day from a book of poems that I got bought at Christmas, so I will bring the book to school and read one every lunchtime – that will be good for me and it should also be a pleasure. It would be nice if children thought carefully about what they would like to do – to get to school on time, to finish all their homeworks or maybe to bring PE kit every week. Other children will want to read more or work harder on their sport or a different subject. What is your resolution? See if you can find out if your parents have decided upon a resolution as well…
