I wonder what people have been up to over this holiday? I would guess that lots of people have been watching the Diamond Jubilee celebrations on television, but I would guess that we have all been up to plenty of other things as well. On Monday, I got up at 4.45 am and drove to Horton in Ribblesdale with Ruth ( who is Tracy’s friend) to do the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge. In order to succeed, you have to walk 25 miles and climb the three largest peaks in Yorkshire (Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough) in under 12 hours. We did it in 9 hours and 20 minutes but I could hardly walk when I had finished!
Let me know what you have been up to – if you have a photo, then send them to firstname.lastname@example.org as well as blogging, then we can get them up on the site. I’m feeling very worn out, but I hope that everyone enjoys the rest of the holiday and is ready for Monday 11th June when we come back to school.
