Both Eve and Stella are really looking forward to the half term holiday because they have fun things to do at Hallowe’en. Eve is going to a party and Stella is having a group of friends round and they are going to go trick-or-treating. Where we live, all the families with children make their front gardens trick-or-treat friendly by putting out Hallowe’en displays – that way, people know who wants to take part. Apart from that we shall probably go for walks, go to the cinema and swimming and play tennis.
What are you looking forward to doing? We have one more week of hard work and then it is a deserved week off for everyone. What will you be up to?
Even though I am very, very old, I can still remember bits of when I was at primary school. I can remember my teacher, Mr Jacks, coming into class dressed entirely as a Roman soldier when we were doing the Romans. I can remember Mrs Farmer teaching us how to weigh things in maths by baking after weighing out ingredients and I can remember a school trip when we went to France. All the rest of the stuff has just dribbled away into the mists of time. What experiences have you had in school this term that you have really enjoyed and that you think you will remember. What has your teacher done to make it exciting or interesting for you? It is always important to know what children are thinking about what we teach so please let us know!
